Robert A. Rochlin - FCA

Robert commenced working in the accounting profession in 1969 and has since worked in the areas of small to medium business and taxation advice and superannuation. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Certified Practising Accountant and has been a principal in public practice since 1983. Robert has been active in motor racing since the 1960s and is currently a ‘historic’ racer ... (an old man acting like a kid!)

Gerry H. Papas - AICA

Gerry is an affiliated member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He has over 15 years experience in the accounting profession and became a partner in July 2001. Gerry has expertise within the hospitality, computer, construction, professional service and retail industries. He specialises in providing taxation advice concerning the set up of new business, application of various entity structures, due diligence and in the management of audits. Gerry is married and has 3 young children. He dreams of renovating an Alfa Romeo 105 GTV and beating his partner Robert Rochlin at Mount Panorama; and reducing his golf handicap to a respectable figure.

John B. Wallis - B Bus, CA, JP

John has been working in professional accounting practices for over 25 years, and has been a chartered accountant since 1991. Prior to joining Sothertons Sydney John spent 12 years at Davey Financial Management as the National Tax Manager where he was responsible for specialist tax advice, tax return preparation, cash flow and tax planning. John specialises in working with a client base of high net worth individuals from the medical, dental, legal and company executive fields. John is married to Jenny and has 3 young boys, twins, Jayden and Joshua, and also Keegen. He loves all sports, especially soccer, golf and rugby league.

Graham Wells - General Manager

Graham is the general manager of Sothertons Sydney and is a Professional National Accountant with over 35 years experience in both large and small commercial organisations. Graham established and built his own small business and has expertise in financial and general management, sales and marketing and personnel management. Graham is married and has 2 daughters. He enjoys all sports, exercising, furniture restoration and travelling.

Charles J. Grace - MBA(SYD), CA

Charles is a Chartered Accountant, a CPA, a registered Company Auditor and a Registered Tax Agent.  He graduated Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Sydney. Charles has been a principal in public practice since 1971. He specializes in audit, business services, international commerce, tax and client wealth creation.  Charles is married to Marie and has three grown up sons. His passion is his sailing boat which has kept him busy most holidays and weekends for forty years.

Colleen A. Banfield – BCom, CA

Colleen is a Chartered Accountant, a CPA and Registered Tax Agent.  She graduated Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW.  Colleen has been working in the professional accounting industry for more than 23 years, the last 14 years as a Partner of Charles J Grace & Co. She specialises in business services, income tax and superannuation. She achieved a High Distinction and second place in Australia in the CPA Program module Personal Financial Planning and Superannuation in 2003. Colleen is married to Graham. Her big interests are food, wine, travel and getting out on the water for weekends in her boat.
