Sothertons Perth was founded in 1979 by Craig McGown and Ian Murchison in Fremantle, Western Australia. Then known as Murchison McGown Chartered Accountants, the practice has since expanded and now operates as Sothertons Perth in modern premises at the Centrepoint Tower in Colin Street.

The partners, Grant Priest, Craig Coleman, Sonia Feron and Matthew Peacock, have a combined service period at Sothertons of over 65 years, demonstrating their personal commitment to the firm, their clients and the Chartered Accounting profession.
