Robert Lissauer
Robert is a director in the Taxation division of Sothertons Melbourne and is responsible for both local and international tax. He has extensive experience in consulting on taxation issues to a wide range of medium to large private clients, particularly in relation to the service industries and property development sectors. Robert's recent experience in advising overseas public companies wishing to establish themselves in the Australian marketplace has created a strong focus in this area.
Robert advises on all areas of tax and, in particular, the tax implications arising from various corporate reorganisations (including liquidations, share buy-backs and capital reductions), employee share schemes and consolidations. Robert also works on large taxation audit projects and dispute resolution cases in dealing with various Revenue authorities.
In November 2005 Robert was appointed to the Board of Directors of IGAF Worldwide and holds the position as Secretary and also Chairperson of IGAF Asia Pacific.
Robert has an extensive list of qualifications including a Masters degree in Taxation Law from Melbourne University and a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University. Robert is a Fellow of CPA Australia, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a registered tax agent.

David Lissauer
David is a director of Sothertons Melbourne and also heads up the Audit practice, Sothertons LLP.
David, apart from being one of the firm's founders, was also one of the first CPAs in Australia to be trained and accredited as a Peer Reviewer, an involvement he is still heavily committed to. He also heads up the firm administration team and, as such, is largely responsible for the management of the practice.
David is a registered company auditor and has extensive experience in relation to internal control processes, private client groups, as well as organisations in the 'not for profit' sector, acting for both local and overseas organisations, which is a key area of his work. He is also part of the Mergers and Acquisition team and in recent years has been involved in a number of successful industry consolidations. In addition to his audit qualifications he holds a BComm from Melbourne University, is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a registered tax agent. |

John Christopoulos
John's primary responsibility is that he heads up the Business Services division of Sothertons Melbourne.
John, who was admitted as a Director in 1997, has an in-depth knowledge of local tax, and advises medium to large private groups in relation to their business structures and management issues. John is also responsible for the firm's superannuation area and, in this capacity, provides advice to over 100 private funds.
John has been party to a number of corporate reorganisations including share buy-backs, capital restructure and taxation consolidations and, in that capacity, has overseen the strategic planning and development of the businesses in planning for the future.
John holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Victoria University, is a member of CPA Australia and a Registered Tax Agent. |

Mark Lipson
Mark is the director responsible for forensic accounting, due diligence and business investigations. As a forensic accountant with over 15 years' experience in providing expert witness reports and giving evidence in court, Mark's responsibilities include consulting in Family Law property settlements and Commercial disputes.
Mark advises and undertakes corporate and business due diligence investigations within an acquisition or merger context. He has led due diligence teams in a large number of acquisitions and consolidations involving a wide range of industries for large private corporations as well as publicly listed companies.
Mark began his career at Sothertons in 1987 and was admitted as a director in 1993. He holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Education (Economics). Mark is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of CPA Australia. In 1992 Mark also became eligible to act as a Commercial Arbitrator.
As part of his special interest in forensic accounting, Mark was selected to become a member of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) in the Legal Practice List. He has also been selected to be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Professional Conduct Tribunal. |

Peter Pryn
Peter, who has been with Sothertons Melbourne for 7 years, was admitted as a Director in March 2008. A Chartered Accountant since 1981, Peter managed a Victorian Legal Practice with multiple offices and also established and ran his own successful accountancy practice for over 10 years. He has developed expertise in personnel management, financial and general management as well as I.T.
In July 2008 the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, advanced Peter’s membership status to Fellow.
Peter has been actively involved in many community organisations including ‘Little Athletics’ and also devoted four weeks in 2006 to act as a Commonwealth Games volunteer.

Vick Fak
Vick Fak, an Associate Director at Sothertons Melbourne, is a Chartered Accountant with over 14 years experience in public practice, with significant expertise in both business services and audit. He has completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting at Monash University and currently holds a tax agents license.
Prior to joining Sothertons Melbourne Vick worked in various accounting and management roles dealing with small to medium sized clients in the building & construction, medical, manufacturing, legal, Tattersall’s agencies and hotel/clubs. His entrepreneurial style and ability to 'think outside the square', has enabled Vick to provide clients with a level and style of service that is keenly sought after by clients.
Vick is currently applying to become a registered company auditor and has auditing experience across a broad range of sectors including Private Companies, Not for Profits, Real Estate Trust Accounts, Travel Agents and Solicitor Trust Accounts.

Jodi Cammarano
Jodi, an Associate Director, has been in the accounting profession for almost 15 years and manages the Business Services area with expertise in general accounting, GST, FBT, State Taxes, Income Tax and Business consulting.
Before joining the team at Sothertons Jodi worked for one of the big four Chartered Accounting firms in Melbourne. Having worked in both large and smaller organizations Jodi prides herself on her ability to constantly provide exceptional service to all levels of clientele.
Jodi maintains a high level of qualifications. She is in the final stages of completing her Masters of Taxation Law at the University of Melbourne, maintains a double degree double major from Monash University by way of a Bachelor of Business, Accounting major and Bachelor of Computing, Systems Analysis major as well as being a qualified CPA and registered Tax Agent.
Outside the office Jodi is involved in many sporting activities with her family both by providing assistance to her father as President of the regional Trainers Association to participating in many bicycle events such as Around the Bay in Day, Amy’s Ride and other charitable events. |
