IGAF Worldwide is one of the oldest, largest, and most well respected accounting associations in the world. The association was founded for the purpose of providing member firms with the tools and resources they need to furnish a broad spectrum of efficient, cost-effective accounting, auditing, and management services to clients around the globe. IGAF Worldwide’s members are typically regional, full-service public accounting and management consulting firms. These highly successful independent firms, with multiple offices in major metropolitan areas, provide technical assistance in traditional accounting and auditing, tax services, and specialised services such as privatisation support, fiscal management support, streamlining accounting systems, litigation, strategic planning, business valuations, information technology consulting, system planning, and law firm services. Because IGAF Worldwide is one of the largest associations of its kind in the world, it provides member firms with the strength and capabilities of a large, worldwide organisation with diverse technical skills and geographic representation not possible for a local firm alone. Members exchange technical advice and assistance in every service performed by the profession. IGAF Worldwide members are selected based on exacting requirements for size, reputation, quality of practice, diverse technical capabilities, and geographic location. These requirements must be met not only to gain admission but also to retain membership. Periodic inspections ensure that member firms continue to meet these membership requirements. IGAF Worldwide was founded in 1977 by ten firms in the United States and Canada. Since that time the association has grown to over 140 firms with over 350 offices in more than 60 countries around the world. In 2005, member firms had over 950 partners and over 8,500 personnel generating approximately US$800,000,000 in annual revenues. All member firms of the National Sothertons Group Pty Ltd are subject to liability capping. Liability limited by a scheme approved under professional standards legislation applicable to each member firm. Sothertons firms are independent members of both National Sothertons Group Pty Ltd (NSG) and IGAF Worldwide. NSG & IGAF worldwide are national and worldwide associations respectively and do not and cannot offer any professional services in their own names. Each independent member of “NSG” and IGAF Worldwide is a separate firm. These member firms are not members of an international partnership or otherwise legal partners with each other. No firm is responsible for the services or activities of any other member firm, and they do not act on behalf of “NSG” or IGAF Worldwide or other member firms. The relationship between a client and the Sothertons office that represents you cannot be extended to IGAF Worldwide or any other member firm of IGAF Worldwide or any other office of Sothertons in Australia and only the Sothertons firm engaged by the client can be held responsible towards you as a client regarding any issues relating to the clients engagement(s). |
